Keno was created in two hundred BC by the Chinese army leader, Cheung Leung who utilized this game as a way to finance his failing forces. The city of Cheung was at war, and after a bit of time seemed to be facing national shortage of food with the dramatic decrease in supplies. Cheung Leung needed to develop a fast response for the economic adversity and to produce money for his forces. He thusly designed the game we know today as keno and it was a wonderful success.

Keno used to be referred to as the White Pigeon Game, since the winning numbers were delivered by pigeons from bigger municipalities to the smaller towns. The lottery ‘Keno’ was brought to the USA in the 19th century by Chinese immigrants who came to the United States for jobs. In those times, Keno was played with one hundred and twenty numbers.

Today, Keno is generally enjoyed with eighty numbers in most of American brick and mortar casinos as well as net casinos. Keno is largely enjoyed today as a result of the relaxed nature of betting the game and the simple fact that there are little skills required to play Keno. Regardless of the fact that the chances of winning are horrible, there is constantly the chance that you could hit quite big with very little gaming investment.

Keno is enjoyed with 80 numbers and twenty numbers are picked each round. Enthusiasts of Keno can select from 2 to ten numbers and wager on them, whatever amount they are able to. The payout of Keno is dependent on the bets made and the roll out of matching numbers.

Keno grew in acceptance in the United States near the close of the 19th century when the Chinese characters were replaced with more familiar, US numbers. Lottos weren’t covered under the legalization of wagering in Nevada State in Nineteen Thirty One. The casinos renamed the ‘Chinese lotto’ to ‘horse race keno’ utilizing the idea that the numbers are horses and you are looking for your horses to place. When the Nevada government passed a law that levied a tax on off track betting, casinos quickly changed the name to ‘Keno’.
