It will not often be thought of as the funnest game in the world of gaming, but keno has tons of steadfast followers. And so it should! It’s a always exciting lottery-esque game that’s a breeze to play, abundantly available in lots of different styles, and one that can return millions of dollars for gamblers who master its limitless subtle rules. But let’s start with the basic facts here.
When explaining keno to amateurs, some gambling experts compare it to bingo. This is at least partially apt, in that each game is basically numerical. But to take that comparison too far can be to miscalculate the many unique aspect that make keno so interesting. Not like bingo, keno gamblers have the freedom to choose the numbers for each and every card.
Keno cards have a total of eighty numbers, but the user is given an increased level of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as numerous (or as few) numbers as she feels they need. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark each of your handpicked numbers with a normalpen like you had when you were a kid.
Once you’ve checked your numbers, take the card back to the girl at the keno stand. The girl will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) valuable bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers you and would like to help out, without a winning slip on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your efforts.
OK, so there you have strategy numero uno: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let us advance to something a little bit more complicated, what do you think?
Now that you’ve picked your numbers, get yourself into a nice keno booth and watch the action take place on a monitor. That’s where the winning numbers are displayed for us. If you checked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to take your time, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You must get back to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, since a new drawing will certainly get going within not too many minutes.
Strategy #2: always be sure to get back to the keno booth on time!
Assuming you can’t trust yourself to meet that five-minute margin each time, you always retain the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your picked numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the maximum amount of rounds (the same as the number of tickets) is completed, you will then be able to get off your numb back side and go collect your winnings.
Yet an additional opportunity is referred to as a "stray and play" keno slip, which generally allows you make number selection for 30 rounds or more. Heck, you can take vacation to Greece and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to redeem your numbers. Most "stray and play" cards are good for up to a whole year after it’s purchased!
And now you are aware of several essential strategies for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable player, they might seem very obvious. But it does not hurt to bone up on the basics, and if you are a newbie keno player, every bit of information will help make your keno playing time more entertaining.
