It might not generally be seen as the most lucrative game in the universe of gaming, but keno has tons of keen enthusiasts. And so it should! It’s a routinely thrilling lotto-type game that’s uncomplicated to play, abundantly available in many different formats, and one that can yield millions of dollars for people who master its heaps of subtle rules. But let’s start with the basic rules for now.
When defining keno to novices, some wagering experts compare it to lotto. This is at least partially correct, in that each game is essentially numerical. After you have checked your numbers, take the game card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The person will record those numbers and then give you a receipt. Do not misplace this (potentially) expensive bit of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers your face and would like to help out, without a winning slip on you, you will be given exactly $.00 for your winning card.
Ok, there you have strategy #1: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let us move on to something a little bit more useful, ok?
Once you’ve marked your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and observe the action take place on a big video monitor. This is where the winning numbers are shown in lights. If you have winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Sake care not to take too much time, or sit there praising yourself for too great a length of time. You need to get up to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, since a new drawing will likely begin within a few minutes.
Strategy number 2: always get back to the keno stand on time!
Since you don’t trust yourself to beat that five-minute deadline each time, you always have the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from two to 20 cards. When the maximum amount of games (fitting the number of tickets) is completed, you will then be able to get off your lazy bum and go collect your winnings.
Yet an additional choice is referred to as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally allows you make number choices for 30 rounds or more. Hell, you can take vacation to France and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" game tickets are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
