Keno Methods That Work
Wednesday, 7. September 2022
It might not commonly be deemed the sexiest game in the field of betting, but keno has tons of devout followers. And so it should! It’s a always exciting lotto-ish game that’s easy to play, abundantly available in several alternate variations, and one that might pay out millions of dollars for players who learn its countless subtle rules. But let’s deal with the basic rules for now.
When explaining keno to beginners, some wagering pros compare it to the lottery. This is at least nearly correct, in that each game is essentially numerical. But to carry that comparison too far can be to undervalue the good many unique aspect that make keno so exciting. Unlike bingo, keno players have the ability to choose the numbers for every card.
Keno cards have a grand total of 80 numbers, but the user is given an extra level of personal responsibility by being able to pick as many (or as few) numbers as he or she thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your selected numbers with a standardpen like you used back in the day.
Once you have checked your numbers, take the game card back to the clerk at the keno booth. The clerk will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your loud shirt and would like to help out, without a winning ticket on you, you will win exactly $.00 for your winning card.
So, there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno ticket. Let us move to something a bit more useful, what do you think?
After you’ve picked out your numbers, get into a comfy keno booth and observe the action happen on the screen. This is where the winning numbers are shown for all to see. If you picked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Make sure not to take your time, or sit there praising yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You need to get up to the keno stand to get your winnings, since a new drawing will likely start up within five minutes.
Strategy #2: always go back to the keno booth on time!
Since you can’t trust yourself to meet that 5 minute deadline each and every time, you always have the option of purchasing a "multi-race" ticket. These include the same set of your desired numbers on anywhere from two to 20 cards. When the max number of rounds (fitting the number of tickets) is completed, you are then able to get off your numb butt and go retrieve your winnings.
Still another choice is referred to as a "stray and play" keno slip, which generally lets you make number picks for thirty keno rounds or more. Golly, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to get uptight about getting back in time to retrieve your winnings. Most "stray and play" game cards are good for up to a whole year after you by it!
And now you have learned several essential techniques for winning keno. If you are a knowledgeable keno player, they may seem stupidly obvious. However, it will never hurt to study up on the basic methods, and if you are a novice player, every bit of advice will help make your keno playing more enjoyable.
