It might not generally be thought of as the sexiest game in the world of wagering, but keno has massive amounts of dedicated followers. Why wouldn’t it? It’s a consistently exciting lottery-ish game that’s uncomplicated to master, readily available in tons of assorted styles, and one that might yield mega-dollars for people who master its heaps of subtle rules. But let’s deal with the basic rules here.
When explaining keno to novices, some gambling pros compare it to the lottery. This is at least to some extent apt, in that each game is essentially numerical. Yet to carry that comparison too far might be to downplay the many unique characteristics that make keno so entertaining. Unlike bingo, keno users have the power to choose the numbers for each card.
Keno cards have a total of 80 numbers, but the user is granted an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to decide on as many (or as few) numbers as he or she desires. And it doesn’t take a genius to ascertain how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your picked numbers with a normalmarker like you used back in the day.
Once you’ve marked your numbers, take your game card back to the girl at the keno booth. The nice person will record your numbers and then give you a receipt. Don’t misplace this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the clerk remembers your pretty face and wants help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will collect exactly $.00 for your time spent.
So, there you have strategy number one: always be sure to keep your keno receipt. Let’s go on to something a bit more complicated, ok?
Now that you’ve picked your numbers, settle into a comfortable keno booth and watch the action happen on a big video monitor. This is where the winning numbers are shown for us. If you have winning numbers, mark your card appropriately. Make sure not to dilly dally, or sit there congratulating yourself for an obnoxious length of time. You must get up to the keno stand to redeem your winnings, and a new drawing will likely begin within not too many minutes.
Strategy number two: always get back to the keno stand on time!
Since you can not trust yourself to make that 5 minute deadline each time, you always have the option of using a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your chosen numbers on anywhere from two to 20 tickets. When the maximum amount of rounds (fitting the amount of tickets) is finished, you can then get off your lazy back side and go collect your winnings.
Still another alternative is recognized as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which normally lets you make number choices for thirty keno games or more. Gosh, you can take vacation to Italy and not have to fret about getting back in time to retrieve your numbers. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after it’s bought!
So now you are aware of a number of required schemes for winning keno. If you are a skillful keno player, they might seem to be very obvious. Still, it won’t hurt to bone up on the basic strategies, and if you are a beginner keno player, every tiny bit of information will help make your keno playing time more fun.
