Keno Strategies That Will Help You Win

It might not generally be thought of as the sexiest game in the field of gambling, but keno has tons of steadfast fans. And so it should! It’s a regularly entertaining lotto-type game that’s a breeze to master, readily available in lots of different formats, and one that will yield millions of dollars for gamblers who master its limitless subtle intricacies. But let’s start with the basic rules for now.
When defining keno to amateurs, some gaming masters compare it to the lottery. This is at least to a certain extent apt, in that both games are fundamentally numerical. However, to carry that comparison too far might be to downplay the many unique traits that make keno so compelling. Unlike bingo, keno enthusiasts have the freedom to choose the numbers for each and every card.
Keno cards have a grand total of eighty numbers, but the user is given an extra degree of personal responsibility by being able to select as many (or as few) numbers as he thinks is appropriate. And it doesn’t take a genius to determine how to fill out a card: all you do is circle or otherwise mark all your chosen numbers with a ordinarypen like you had when you were in third grade.
After you’ve selected your numbers, take the keno card back to the nice person at the keno booth. The clerk will record your numbers and then hand you a receipt. Make sure no to misplace this (potentially) valuable piece of paper! Even if the keno pit manager remembers you and would like to help out, without a winning receipt in hand, you will be given exactly $.00 for your time spent.
Ok, there you have strategy #1: always take care to keep your keno ticket. Let us go on to something a little more complex, yes?
After you’ve picked out your numbers, get yourself into a nice keno booth and see the action happen on the keno monitor. That is where the winning numbers are displayed for all to see. If you checked winning numbers, mark your card accordingly. Be sure not to move to slowly, or sit there congratulating yourself for too great a length of time. You want to get up to the keno stand to collect your winnings, and then a new drawing will likely start within a few minutes.
Strategy number 2: always go back to the keno stand on time!
Since you can’t trust yourself to make that five-minute deadline each and every time, you always retain the option of buying a "multi-race" card. These include the self same set of your handpicked numbers on anywhere from 2 to twenty slips. When the max number of rounds (matching the amount of tickets) is played, you can then get off your lazy rump and go retrieve your winnings.
Another opportunity is recognized as a "stray and play" keno ticket, which generally allows you make number selection for 30 rounds or more. Golly, you can take an ocean cruise and not have to worry about getting back in time to get your winnings. Most "stray and play" tickets are good for up to a whole year after you purchase it!
And now you know several necessary techniques for winning keno. If you are an experienced user, they may seem to be stupidly obvious. Still, it doesn’t hurt to bone up on the basic practices, and if you are a new user, every tiny bit of advice will help make your keno playing more fun.
